The announcement of Emma Blaze as the Lanier Technical College’s GOAL winner was made by Dr. Ray Perren, Lanier Technical College President, at the College’s GOAL recognition luncheon on December 4, 2019 at the College’s Ramsey Conference Center.

Ms. Blaze was chosen by a panel of local leaders over three other nominees for the award. The runners-up were Rachel Lee, Welding and Joining Technology, Barrow County; Angela Brewer, Esthetician, Gwinett County; and Dustin Penner, Fire Fighting/EMSP, Lumpkin County.

In accepting her award, Ms. Blaze told the audience, “I am so honored and incredibly blessed to be surrounded by such encouraging instructors and my fellow students. I found my way at Lanier Tech, and I want to help others find their way here at Lanier Tech, too.”
