New Student Orientation

Your First Step to Accessing Almost Everything U of A

After you’ve received an email containing your University of Arkansas ID and user name you will be able to activate your student account.

New faculty, staff and student employees are required to register multi-factor authentication for their UARK accounts.

Multi-factor authentication provides an additional layer of security that makes it difficult for unauthorized users to access services, applications and data. UARK accounts can be compromised by phishing scams, automated bots, targeted attacks, etc. Verifying your account with multi-factor is more secure, especially for services that grant access to Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

Access your Student Center in UAConnect, the U of A’s student information system

Your Student Center in UAConnect allows you access to your admissions, academic and financial information. Here, you can view your academic records,  enroll in classes, access financial information, see important notifications, and handle other tasks – all online.

  • Go to UAConnect
  • Click myConnect and follow the prompt to sign in with your UARK user name (your email address) and password (the password you created in Step 1).
  • The first time you login, there may only be three tiles for you to view. It will take 2-3 business days after you login for all 9 tiles to appear as your account is updated.
  • You will not find an assigned advisor in UAConnect, please proceed to step 6 for that information.

The Precision Machining & Manufacturing program is a sequence of courses that prepare students for careers in the machine tool technology field.
