Biographical Info

Aaliyah Brown is a Simulation Lab Technician for Lanier Technical College for Allied Health. In this position, she facilitates in running simulations and activities in the Simulation Center on campus, that proposes different medically constructed cases. This provokes critical thinking and provides students the ability to practice knowledge-based skills in an experiential setting, while offering students the opportunity to practice clinical skills for real world use and develop quality patient care standards.

Aaliyah Brown has worked in patient care over the years at medical offices such as North Georgia Neurological Clinic, Women’s Health Associates of Atlanta, Reagan Medical Center, and most recently as a pharmacy technician for Kroger Pharmacy. In addition to that, she is also studying to become an EMT for Gwinnett Fire.

Aaliyah Brown earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of West Georgia in Carrollton, Georgia, where she held positions in the TriBeta Biology Honors Society, Alpha Lambda Delta Honors Fraternity, and the National Society for Collegiate Scholars. She is currently in the process of earning her master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwannee, Georgia, where she holds the position of Vice Chair of Medical Simulation for the Graduate Student Council, as well as the Secretary for Graduates Representing Academic Achievement, Diversity, and Service.
